Life On The Road

Yes, I'm One of the Good Fella's
For 10 months now, I've been traveling more than spending quality time at home with my family.  This was a choice; the "necessary evil" to regain balance and harmony.  Doing so was also the best thing I've ever done...also one of the hardest.

Being on the road 75% - 80% of the time causes one to stop and reflect on a whole bunch of things.  It also makes you think about all the things you're missing in life; from homemade dinners to lawn care to sleeping in your own bed with your wife.  There's nothing like home.

My motivation for starting this blog is to give me a portal for letting the "clutter" in my head to escape.  I'm somewhat of an eclectic person, so there's a vast array of topics, muses, and general ramblings you're likely to see here.  My intention is NEITHER to be the most popular blogger NOR for blogging to be my social networking escape.  What I do hope is that those who either travel frequently as I do or have a mate who travels as much as I do will perhaps follow some of my posts and find a way to relate.

I miss my wife.  She's the love of my life.  This isn't my preference for us, but galaxies away from where we were.  Perhaps blogging will offer up the concoction I need to get me through the time I serve makin' life happen.

To my son playing in a collegiate tennis tournament this week in Hilton Head....I love you and am proud of you.

To my daughter who's torn between being daddy's girl and growing into an independent teenage young lady....it's hard to loosen my hold on you.

To Salem, who's turning into a character unto herself.....Papa Ghee can't wait to bring you home another surprise.

To my wife Victoria......I love and miss you with all my heart.
